- 2 big potatoe
- 3 bread slices
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 chopped green chillies
- 1/2 inch chopped ginger
- 2 chopped garlic cloves
- 1 pinch of turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 2-3 tbsp chickpea flour
- Salt to taste
- 3-4 tbsp oil
METHOD:
- First cut potatoes into 3/4 parts. In a pressure cooker add enough water to cover the potatoes. Cook for 2-3 whistles. Remove the cooker from heat and let it cool itself.
- Now take out the boiled potatoes and let them become warm or cool.
- In a pan heat 1/2 tbsp of oil. Add chopped onions, green chillies, chopped ginger and garlic. Add salt and fry for fry for 1-2 minutes.
- In a bowl take little water and dip all the three bread slices one by one. Squeeze all the water from the bread slices and take all the squeeze bread pulp in a large bowl.
- Mash the boiled potatoes and mix well with the bread pulp.
- Add fried onions into the bowl.
- Add cumin powder, red chilli powder, garam masala and salt. Mix everything well.
- Take a portion and make into a cutlet shape. You can make 8 cutlets from that much of ingredients.
- Now in another bowl take chickpea flour. Add turmeric powder and salt. Add water as required and make a batter.
- Heat oil in a pan. Dip each bread cutlet one by into the batter and fry the cutlets. Let one side becomes golden brown and then gently flip and fry the other side till golden brown.
- Now serve hot bread cutlets with tomato sauce or any chutney or dip of your choice.
