 Preserving lemons in salt is one of the simplest and the most ancient method of preserving lemons. Generally Indian pickles are spicy and oily.  But this lemon pickle is preserved only in salt and no oil and spices are used. This preserved lemons are used as a home remedy in curing stomach related problems. So in every household in Assam you will find at least one jar of preserved lemons with salt. 

The recipe for preserved lemons in salt is very simple. All you need is lemons,  salt and a jar to keep those lemons.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 whole lemons 
  • 2 tbsp salt 

METHOD:
  1. Wash lemons. Pat dry with a clean cloth. 
  2. Take a clean glass jar. Put the lemons into the jar. Add salt. 
  3. Close the jar tightly.
  4. Put the jar under direct sunlight for a week. Uncover the jar while in sunlight. 
  5. Shake the jar everyday.
  6. The salt will melt and it will soften the lemons. Then it will be ready to serve. Keep in room temperature. No need to keep it in the refrigerator. 

গোল নেমু নিমখত দিয়া :

উপকৰন:

  • 3 টা গোটা গোল নেমু
  • 2 চামুচ নিমখ

প্ৰনালী:
  1. গোল নেমু ধুই কাপোৰেৰে মচি শুকোৱাই লব|
  2. এটা গ্লাচৰ বটলত নেমু কেইটা ভৰাই নিমখ দিব|
  3. গ্লাচৰ বটলৰ মুখনি খন টানকৈ বন্ধ কৰি থব|
  4. এসপ্তাহৰ বাবে দিনত বটলটো ৰদত দিব| ৰদত দিয়াৰ সময়ত বটলৰ মুখনিখন খুলি ৰাখিব|
  5. সদায় লৰাব যাতে নিমখ ভালদৰে মিহলি হৈ যায়|
  6. যেতিয়া নিমখ গলিব তেতিয়া নেমুকেইটা কোমল হৈ পৰিব| তাৰ পিছত বটল কেইটা ৰুম টেমপ্ৰেচাৰত ভিতৰতে থব|
