Easy Fish Curry Recipe

 This recipe is for my those blog followers (specially from US)  who has a temptation for Indian fish curry. This recipe need not much afford and can easily prepare with simple ingredients. Indian recipes needs much afford as it requires different spices to prepare and US people hardly store so many Indian spices in their kitchen. This recipe may also useful for beginners and bachelors.  And off course this recipe is for busy and lazy people like me too.

In this recipe I'm using tomato based pizza or pasta sauce together with mustard seeds' paste.  You can use any ready made pizza sauce and mustard paste or if you like you can make it yourself. Here I'm using ready-made pizza sauce but I made mustard seeds' paste myself . For mustard seeds' paste I'm using yellow mustard seeds. Yellow mustard seeds are less bitter than black mustard seeds. Soak yellow mustard seeds in warm water for few minutes and then make a fine paste. Here you can use any ready-made mustard seeds' paste also.

As we Indians eat fish curry with rice only so serve this easy fish curry with steamed rice.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 pieces of fish (any) 
  • 2 tbsp pizza sauce (tomato based) 
  • 1 tbsp mustard seeds' paste
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 
  • Salt to taste 
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil 
METHOD:
  1. Wash fish pieces under running water. Rub with salt and turmeric. 
  2. In a pan heat oil. Fry fish pieces. Drain and keep aside. 
  3. In the remaining oil add pizza sauce.
  4. Add turmeric powder and red chilli powder. 
  5. Add fish pieces. 
  6. Add mustard seeds' paste. 
  7. Add salt. 
  8. Add 1/2 cup of water and cook for few minutes.  Adjust water according to your purpose as how much curry you want. 
  9. Remove from heat. Garnish with cilantro.
  10. Serve hot with steamed rice.

1 cups of raw mango peeled, seeded and diced. 5-6 finely chopped mint leavesPinch of cumin powder 1/2 tsp black salt 4 tbsp sugar 2 cups of water METHOD: In a blender blend all the ingredients until smooth. With the help of a stained, filter the liquid into a jar. Discard the remaining. Transfer the liquid into ice lolly  molds.Freeze until solid.

Instant Green Chilli Pickle in Mustard Recipe

Hey!  I'm back again with another Green chilli pickle. Hope you are not bored with my continuous pickle recipes. Summer is meant for pickling and I have still many pickles to made in my mind. Hope you liked my previous green chilli pickle recipe. Today I'm going to share an instant green chilli pickle recipe which you can serve to your guests instantly after making. This green chilli pickle is very easy to prepare. The taste of this pickle is hot and sour.  This is similar to the chilli chutney that is usually served in marriage parties. I'm using medium hot Indian variety of  green chillies for making this Instant pickle. Green chillies are dipped into the mustard seeds' paste and the use of vinegar makes the pickle sour to taste. You can serve this pickle with rice or roti (Indian bread)  as a side dish,  but I like to have this pickle with fritters (pakoras) too.

Dry Fruits Custard Recipe

Custard is a variety of  dessert preparations generally based on milk. Milk is thickened by adding either egg yolks, corn flour or gelatin etc. and at last fruits and nuts are added to it.  Kids love to eat custard and it's very easy to prepare. Dry fruits custard is also a very simple recipe to prepare where rich dry fruits are added in sweet creamy custard.

Green Chilli Pickle

Hey!  I'm back again with another Indian style pickle recipe. Today I'm going to share a simple recipe of green chilli pickle. Do you know that green chillies are rich in dietary fiber. Well, green chillies are one of the must ingredient of Indian cooking. Slit,  sliced,  chopped or diced, we like to add green chillies in our cooking.  Green chillies are also often served as raw. As green chillies are available throughout the year,  we may not need to preserve it by pickling.  But Indian pickles are more than just preserving.  Because of the use of oil and spices, the pickles become more flavourful and we like to have pickles with rice or roti (Indian bread) in lunch or dinner as a side dish. 

There are many different ways of making green chilli pickle.  This pickle is hot and sweet in taste.
