Chilli chicken & Fried rice

Chilli chicken and Fried rice, a good combination of Indo-Chinese recipe. Indo -Chinese dishes are becoming very popular  now a days. We often can see serving these recipes in marriages and other parties. And why not, because the taste of these recipes are so yummy and kids also love to eat Indo-Chinese. Its my daughter's all time favourite. So I have to cook it on almost every sundays. But I cook it in a very home style manner. I don't use too much spices or sauces or chillies.

The recipe of Chilli Chicken

Preparation time- 15 minutes
Cooking time- 30 minutes
Total- 45 minutes
Serve- 4


  • 500 gm chicken
  • 2 onions
  • 1 capsicum
  • 4-5 cloves of garlic chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp corn flour
  • 1 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp chilli sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp vinegar
  • 2-3 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp peeper
  • Salt to taste

* For garnishing green coriander leaves chopped

Method of cooking:

  1. Wash chicken and cut into pieces.
  2. Rub chicken pieces with beaten egg, corn flour and 1/2 tbsp soy sauce and keep it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  3. Cut onions and capsicum into cube sized pieces.
  4. Now in a pan heat oil. Put chicken pieces Into the oil and fry till golden brown. Drain and keep it aside.
  5. In the remaining oil add chopped garlic, onion and capsicum pieces.  Stir and fry for few minutes.
  6. Add chicken pieces. Stir and fry for couple of minute.
  7. Now add tomato sauce, chilli sauce, soy sauce and vineger. Stir and fry. Add salt and perper. Stir and fry for few minutes.
  8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot.

The recipe of Fried Rice

There are different recipes of fried rice such as veg fried rice, egg fried rice, chicken fried rice etc. Here I am cooking veg fried rice. Many vegetables can be used in the recipe of veg fried rice such as cauliflower,  cabbage,  mushroom,  been,  carrot,  spring onion etc.

Preparation time- 15 minutes
Cooking time-25 minutes
Total-40 minutes
Serve- 4


  • 2 cups of long grain rice
  • Oil
  • 2-3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp vinegar
  • Salt to taste


  • 1/4 cup chopped Carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped Beens
  • 1/4 cup chopped Onions

Method of cooking:

  1. Wash rice and soak in water for 10 minutes.
  2. Boil rice.
  3. Drain and keep it aside.
  4. Let the boiled rice become cool.
  5. In a pan heat oil. In high heat add veggies ang fry for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add soy sauce, vinegar and salt.
  7. Stir and pour boiled rice in it. Mix well.
  8. Now the fried rice is ready to serve. Serve hot.
